High Lands Golf Club opened its doors in 1957 after a group of farmers noticed the rolling hills of the land was too much undulation to farm and would be perfect for a golf course. With little technology, they were able to build a dam to build the existing 5.2 acre lake as well as design and build the existing 18 holes.
The Pataskala farmers found inspiration from the renown architect Donald Ross which is evident when your golf ball ends up on the wrong side of the cup. Through the years High Lands Golf Club has transformed from farmland to a beautiful private club nestled in the hills of the Licking County landscape.
